Tranqy Privacy Notice

1. Who processes your data
Controller: Aequus Ventures SRL, via Londra 14/b, Olbia (SS), Italy, VAT number IT03075070908, certified email (PEC) aequusventures@legalmail.it, hereafter "Aequus". Privacy contact: hello@tranqy.ai. Aequus is an Italian company and processes data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003). At this stage Tranqy is offered to people who live in the European Union.
2. What Tranqy is and what it collects
Tranqy is a reminder assistant that lives in chat (WhatsApp or Telegram): you write or send a voice note, it understands, confirms, and at the right time sends the reminder, also to another person in your household. Tranqy is an assistant based on an artificial intelligence system: when you write to it you are talking to an automated system, not to a person. To do its job it processes:
- Channel identifiers: your phone number (WhatsApp) or your Telegram identifier, the user identifier the platform associates with your profile, and the name shown on your profile.
- The messages you send to Tranqy: text, and voice notes (transcribed to text; the audio is not kept afterwards).
- The reminders you create, with their time, recurrence and recipient; your button replies (Done, +1h, Tomorrow) and your conversations with the assistant.
- Preferences: the language you write in, your time zone, quiet hours, the daily digest.
- Facts you tell the assistant so it remembers them (for example "my mother's name is Anna", "I take the pill at 9"): kept because it needs them to understand you next time.
- Health data, only when needed for a reminder ("remind mum of the pill at 9"): Tranqy processes the information strictly necessary for the reminder and makes no other use of it. This processing relies on your explicit consent, given by writing the reminder and withdrawable by deleting it.
- Operational data: whether a message was delivered, read or failed; the cost of language-model calls for your household; technical logs.
Tranqy does not read your contacts, does not access other chats and does not use your data for advertising.

For providers outside the European Union, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Only what is needed to understand your message is sent to the language models; by contract, Anthropic and OpenAI do not use the data to train their models.
5. Retention
- Raw messages (the text as it arrived from the channel) are deleted after 90 days; raw model responses after 30 days; delivery events after 90 days.
- Reminders, conversations and the assistant's memory are kept as long as your household exists, because they are what lets Tranqy remind you and understand you: this is a product choice ("memory does not expire").
- If you write "delete everything", your reminders and data are deleted; encrypted backups are overwritten as they rotate, today within 5 days and in any case within 30.
6. Your rights
In chat or by writing to hello@tranqy.ai you can ask for access to your data and a copy ("export my data", which gives you a file with an expiring link), rectification (just tell the assistant), erasure ("delete everything"), restriction, objection, portability. You can withdraw consent on health data by deleting the reminder. You can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it). We reply within one month.
7. If you receive reminders from another person
If someone in your household creates a reminder for you, the first message tells you who is sending it and how to stop everything: reply STOP and you will never receive anything again, and pending reminders for you are cancelled. Tranqy processes your number only to deliver that reminder. This notice is at tranqy.ai/en/privacy.
8. Automated decisions
The assistant is based on a language model: it understands messages and proposes actions (create, move, delete a reminder), but it does not take decisions with legal effects on you. Every action that deletes or changes something is checked by code and reversible with "undo".
9. Age
Tranqy is for people aged 18 or over. A reminder addressed to a minor in the household is created by, and is the responsibility of, an adult.
10. Security
Data and backups are encrypted; data access is per household (each household sees only its own); keys and secrets live in a separate vault; inbound messages from the channels are signature-verified; no phone numbers in technical logs.
11. The tranqy.ai website
The website presents the service and collects no data: no forms, no cookies, no analytics. It only remembers, in your browser, the language and channel you chose (the browser's local storage, which is never sent to us). The pages are served by Cloudflare, which processes the technical data of the connection (such as the IP address) to do so.
